"WANNABE" the Moose

Moose

More Than You Think..!

If you ask someone a simple Christmas question—like “Where does Santa Claus live?”—they’ll probably get it right. “The North Pole,” of course. And who lives there with him?

Most people will start rattling off the usual suspects: the reindeer (especially Rudolph), the elves, and Mrs. Claus. If they’re really on their game, they’ll name all eight famous reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. Maybe they'll even toss in Frosty the Snowman for good measure.

NorthPole

But here’s the thing—most people stop there. And that’s a shame, because the North Pole is so much more than just a snowy address on Santa’s letterhead.

It’s not just a location—it’s a whole magical world filled with characters, stories and secrets you’ve probably never heard about.

And one of those characters is "Wannabe" the moose.

You’ll meet him too. But right now, let me tell you the story behind this truly special moose....

The Wannabe Story...

Far, far up at the North Pole, in a snowy glen lined with candy cane trees, lived a big, jolly moose named Wannabe.

He came from a long line of North Pole moose. His great-great-great moose had once delivered cocoa to the elves. His uncle helped decorate the Gingerbread Forest.

And Wannabe? He Had a Dream...

He wanted to pull Santa’s sleigh.

But every time he asked, Santa would chuckle warmly and say,

“Oh, dear Wannabe, I love your spirit—but moose can’t fly!”

Wannabe's giant antlers drooped.

“But I just wannabe part of the team…”

And that’s how he got his name—Wannabe the Christmas Moose.

Still, he never gave up. Every winter, he’d stomp his big hooves, puff up his chest, and trot to Santa's sleigh barn.  And every winter, Santa would say kindly,

“You’re wonderful just as you are. But flying? That’s reindeer magic.”

The Magic Scarf

One snowy night, after Santa gave him the same answer, Wannabe sadly trudged away.

But instead of heading home, he marched straight to the Elves’ Workshop.

Santa's most experienced elves were busy making toys and gifts for all the children on the "good" list.

Wannabe cleared his throat.

“Excuse me, Elf-in-Chief,” he said politely. “Could you make a moose fly?”

The elves blinked. Then they gasped.

“A flying moose?! That’s bonkers! That’s bananas! That’s… brilliant!”

So, for the next several years, the elves experimented. They tried peppermint boots (too sticky), rocket antlers (too zoomy), and helium hot chocolate (way too burpy).

But one brilliant elf named Twizzle had a sparkling idea.

“Let’s knit him a Magic Scarf! One with stardust yarn, jingling bells and a sprinkle of North Pole wonder!”

They sewed, stitched and sprinkled all season long. And just before Christmas Eve… it was ready.

Twizzle handed it to Wannabe. “Put it on and believe.”

He wrapped the scarf around his neck. Jingle-jingle!

His hooves tingled. His antlers sparkled.

Then, whoooosh!—he lifted off the ground!

The Christmas Eve Flight

Santa was just harnessing up his reindeer when—zoom!—a shadow zipped over the sleigh.

He looked up and gasped.

“Is that… a flying moose?!”

“Santa!” cried Wannabe, doing a loop-de-loop. “I can fly now!”

The reindeer cheered, the elves clapped, and Santa laughed so hard, his belly shook like a bowl full of jelly.

“Well, jingle my bells! Hop in, Wannabe—you’ve earned your place!”

So that Christmas Eve, as stars twinkled and snowflakes danced, Santa’s sleigh soared across the sky with his herd of reindeer…

... and one joyful, scarf-wearing moose bringing MAGIC to children everywhere.

From that night on, Wannabe flew with the team every Christmas.

So, now... if you ever see a twinkling streak with a swirl of sparkles in the sky, listen closely…

You might hear a joyful jingle and a proud moose shouting,

“I just Wannabe part of the MAGIC!”
